Discussion on issues with respect to Birth Certificates and Presumptive Age Certificate

A special discussion was held, at the S.O.S. children’s village, Piliyandala on 29.03.2023, regarding the issues of birth certificates and presumptive age certificates of children, especially the institutionalized children.

This program was sponsored by the Department of Probation and Child Care Services in collaboration with S.O.S. children’s villages and the Generation Never Give up Institution.

Commissioner of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services, Registrar General, Additional Deputy Registrar General and 25 District Registrars participated in this special program representing the state institutions.

Also, the National Director of the S.O.S. children’s village, Deputy Director, Directors of the S.O.S. children’s villages, officers and representatives of the Generation Never Give up Institution were participated in this event.

It was agreed that positive speedy responses could be given to the issues presented there.
