National Children’s Council 2023 – The Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of the National Children’s Council 2023 was held on 20.11.2023 at Mas Athena Institution, Thulhiriya. Awarding the Sannas Pathra to the newly appointed Chairman elected from the National Children’s Council Election of the year 2024/2025, awarding the certificates and gifts to all the children of the National Children’s Council was carried out in this ceremony and many distinguished guests participated in this occasion.

Sabaragamuwa Provincial Probation and Child Services Commissioner Ms. Lakmali Udayanganee, Assistant District Secretary of the Kegalle District Secretariat, Ms Malsha Priyadarshani, Warakapola Divisional Secretary, Mr Ranga Sanjeewa and OIC of Warakapola Police Station were among the main invitees.

It was also exhibited a short film including special occasions of the program conducted for 3 days adding new experiences for children.

Mr Namal Liyanage, Commissioner of the Probation and Child Care Services welcomed the participants and stated that these children’s clubs should be a haven where it produces future leaders.

Various non- government organizations such as Save the Children, FISD, Sri Lankan Unites, Leads, Women Development Center, World Vision and UNICEF sponsored this program which provided new experiences to children.
