A discussion on “Establishing a facility for leaving babies whose guardianship is refused by their mothers who don’t want to reveal their identity” was held on 30.03.2023 at the Ministry of Women, Children’s Affairs and Social Empowerment with officials of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services, officials of the Ministry of Women, Children’s Affairs and Social Empowerment and other relevant officials of the state departments under the leadership of Hon. State Minister of Women, Children’s Affairs, Geetha Samanmali Kumarasinghe. The Secretary to the Ministry of Women, Children’s Affairs and Social Empowerment Mrs Yamuna Perera, Commissioner of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services Mr Namal Liyanage, Senior Probation Officer Mrs Nirmalee Perera, Deputy Inspector General of Police, officers from the Police Children and Women’s Bureau, Western and Southern Provincial Commissioners of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services, and the officers from the Ministry of Justice and the Department of Registrar Generals were participated in this event.
