National Children Council – Capacity Development Program

A residential training program was held at the National Institute of Plantation Management, Athurugiriya on 05^th, 06^th and 07^th April 2024 with the aim of enhancing the capacity development of the Executive Grade children of National Children’s Council and the children of the District Children’s Councils organized by the Department of Probation and Child Care Services.

The program was conducted under the themes of,

Sharing the experiences regarding the Consultative Conference on South Asia Initiative to End all kinds of Violence against Children- SAIEVAC held at Thimpu, Bhutan on 27^th and 28.02.2024.
Introduction to the future world of works for job opportunities
Child rights and the responsibility of the leaders of children’s clubs
Child -centric disaster risk reduction and preparation of projects
An entertainment evening “Geethayen Jeewithayata”

This program was conducted under the leadership of the Commissioner, Ms. Gayani Kaushalya Wijesinghe, of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services.
