Child Centric Disaster Risk Reduction Program

The Department of Probation and Child Care Services monitored the projects implemented within the 25 districts under the Child Centric Disaster Risk Reduction Program. Accordingly the best 03 projects that were selected were evaluated at the National Festival of Children’s Day celebrations.

First Place - Ratnapura District – Elapatha Divisional Secretariat Division, Mihindu Children’s Club “Among the water races”

Second Place - Kalutara District – Walallawita Divisional Secretariat Division, Rantharu Children’s Club - “A road without disaster”

Third Place - Polonnaruwa District – Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat Division , Muthuhara Children’s Club – ‘Pre-Rain Preparation – Children’s Unity”
