The discussion with the Provincial Probation Officers

A progress review meeting was held on 08.02.2023 under the leadership of the Secretary to the Ministry of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment, Ms. Yamuna Perera, Additional Secretary, Ms. Nilmini Herath and the Probation Commissioner, Mr. Namal Liyanage with the participation of all the Provincial Probation Officers. The development of life skills of children in the Child Development Centers and the challenges for that were discussed here. It was decided to discuss in the future with the Ministry of Justice, the practical issues in the implementation of existing law, especially regarding children.
